An angklung is a musical instrument made out of two bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. The tubes are carved to produce a resonant pitch when struck. Pupils in the angklung CCA group are part of a bigger ensemble group comprising of kulintang, xylophones and other percussion instruments. Ensemble playing provides a child with the experience beyond the limitations of solo performances. Pupils train and develop abilities of close listening, coordinating with other counterparts and resilience.
